The cost of college is on the rise. Let's invest in our Sisters' academic pursuits, empowering them to reach greater heights.

Thanks to our donors, the Alpha Sigma Tau Foundation awards approximately $90,000 in scholarships to members annually, but our members clearly have a much greater need than what we can currently offer.

In fact, this year's scholarship applicants indicated a total need for an additional $1.4 million to cover their college-related expenses for this academic year alone.

A scholarship from the Alpha Sigma Tau Foundation can be the difference between a Sister finishing her degree, pursuing internship opportunities, and staying involved on campus and with her chapter. With your gift to a scholarship today, the Alpha Sigma Tau Foundation can increase our scholarship awards and help our Sisters focus on their coursework and begin post-grad life in a better position.

Elizabeth Wilson/Dorothy Bennett Robinson Scholarship

The Elizabeth Wilson/Dorothy Bennett Robinson Scholarship is a general scholarship reserved for members of Alpha Sigma Tau. It is named in honor of Past National Presidents Elizabeth Wilson (Pi 1934/Harris-Stowe) and Dorothy Robinson (Pi 1930/Harris-Stowe).

About Dorothy Robinson

Dorothy Robinson was Alpha Sigma Tau's Fourth National President, serving from 1949-1955. During her time as National President, she oversaw many important projects including a Sorority Alumnae Directory, installation of several collegiate chapters, and the establishment of the Central Office in St. Louis.

Dorothy was quoted in the November, 1952 issue of The Anchor saying, "Every few years we like to review the whole picture of Alpha Sigma Tau, compare its structure of today with that of former years, evaluate its program of activities, and discover whether or not we are traveling along the road our Founders dreamed of for us. If we find that we have been faithful to our purpose we can be proud of our achievements; but we cannot say, 'This is fine; we have arrived; now we can rest!" In our satisfaction with results, however, we are encouraged to make even greater efforts for success."

About Elizabeth Wilson

Elizabeth Wilson was Alpha Sigma Tau's Sixth National President, serving from 1968-1972. As a collegiate member of the Pi Chapter (at what was then known as Harris Teachers College), she was the Treasurer and Chapter President. Elizabeth worked in the Central Office as Alumnae Secretary when Dorothy Robinson was elected National President. Elizabeth became National President herself in 1968, and helped install several chapters, visited multiple chapters, and wrote bulletins from the Central Office. She served simultaneously as National President and Director of the Central Office. She was quoted as the 17th National Convention in a speech, saying "We cannot afford to be obstinate in a changing world, yet changes must be made without compromising our principles and purposes."

Alpha Sigma Tau today owes so much to Pi Chapter Sisters Dorothy Robinson and Elizabeth Wilson; their legacies live on through the Sorority and this scholarship.
