how you're empowering women

Your Founders Day gift today helps AΣΤs...

SHOW UP FOR EACH OTHER

With nearly half of college women feeling isolated, sorority women are different. The Alpha Sigma Tau Sisterhood is where women find stronger emotional support, deeper connections, and a true place to belong.

Thanks to your generosity, Alpha Sigma Tau members never have to face life alone. Programs like Name Your Story equip Sisters to care for their emotional well-being, build healthy relationships, and cultivate meaningful connections within our Sisterhood.

Because of you, Alpha Sigma Tau provides the steady support and a sense of belonging that so many of their peers are missing.

cultivate resilient leaders

Alpha Sigma Taus are shaping the future. Your support gives them the tools they need to lead with confidence, resilience, and heart.

Your gift creates opportunities for Alpha Sigma Taus to grow their leadership, strengthen their voice, and make an impact in every space they enter.

Achieve their academic goals

In 2025–2026, the AΣΤ Foundation awarded $90,000 in scholarships to ambitious Sisters. While this reaches just a fraction of our collegiate members, we're working with donors to expand our scholarships and create new opportunities to support even more Sisters pursue their dreams, earn their degree, and launch successful careers.

Your support of an AΣΤ Foundation scholarship opens doors for Sisters to thrive in college and beyond.

Maximize their financial lives

From earning less than male counterparts to being more likely to leave the workforce to care for family members, women face unique and costly challenges when it comes to personal finances.

  • Women represent the second-largest homebuying group, behind married couples.

  • On average, women earn $0.83 for every $1 a white man earns.

  • Women are more likely to leave the workforce to care for family members, which makes them 2.5 times more likely to live in poverty due to lost wages and Social Security benefits.

  • Women are more likely to be impacted financially by divorce and widowhood than men.

Our MoneySmarts U on-demand program provides collegians and alumnae with specific, action-based financial wellness education so they can set themselves up for success—both now and in the future.

These initiatives are only possible with support from donors like you.
